CardStandard PC Supports the Latest Payment Security Protocol

CardStandard Processing Center was one of the first in the Russian market to support the EMV 3-D Secure security protocol for Mastercard cards issued by its partner banks. EMV 3-D Secure allows a card issuer to approve transactions without entering a one-time password, which slows down the purchase process and reduces conversion.
The first to connect to the new security standard were Kukuruza, Beeline, Ozon, and Kari cards as well as the prepaid cards of a number of microfinance companies issued by the Credit Union “Payment Center” Ltd.
The EMV 3-D Secure protocol is a new 3DS protocol developed and owned by EMVCo and it provides an additional level of security for online payment transactions.
A significant improvement in the quality of customer experience is provided due to risk-based authentication. EMV 3D Secure allows transferring more than 100 data elements for each transaction to the cardholder's bank. This includes data about the merchant, the customer, the relationship of the customer with the merchants, the customer’s device and other data, which allows quickly and accurately confirming the identity of the user.
EMV 3-D Secure also provides seamless interaction with the user through several payment channels, including mobile phone browser, in-app and e-wallet payments.
